La Boix is Thee Mi ke B and Salva, two legends of the scene linking up to make funky tunes. Thee Mike B has been the backbone of the DJ community for multiple decades, starting in New York with the legendary Banana Split Party. Salva is one of the founding fathers of Trap music and has remained as a highly respected producer, working with artists like RL Grime, Kurupt, E-40, ScHoolboy Q, and more. For the La Boix project (pronounced like a distorted La Croi x mixed with Les Boys), the pair is having a good ol ’ time, chopping up disco samples into microbits and slamming some intergalactic synths over a kick drum.
